Report from Nathan Rulinda
Hi Sue and Pam,
Greeting to you all in Jesus name.
This is just a small update on how the year 2012 started; I hope that you are all doing well and that the New Year 2012 started well.
We’ve been working hard here to see the New Year start, as you all may already know, its always not easy at the beginning of the year, but this one was unique because we have started a boarding section with a total of 22 resident students among which are sponsored students like Ngabo Emmanuel, Jessie, Charmante and Faida who will joining us at the end of this week, it’s turned up to be a sweet home for these kids, the house is occupied by a total of 22, 14girls, 8boys, 2 teachers and 2 matrons (aunties) and a guard.
We have a total number of 212 students altogether so-
The bus we all have been praying for is already here and is doing a great work, with the increase of the students we are still making three rounds to take every one home, its body is looks to be good, but to make it work well for a long time, we will need to fix a few things on it, but this can wait until the end of term, If I manage to attach some pictures, you’ll see the bus clearly.
Many thanks to Seggy for the new kitchen project, those of you who know this kitchen, its now being used and its incredibly reduced our costs and the system uses less wood as well.
All the new classes are being used now because of the grown numbers of students in all classes,
Our teaching staff has changed much, we have two new teaches and an American volunteer “Julie” who will stay until the end of term one 2012, she is helping children with art and crafts, English and reading and she also gets time with the elder children.
The present image of the school shows a great sign of the future and we already have to start thinking of expanding our premises for more facilities.
Our Sunday children’s church is still going on, our students are doing well with most of the English worship and praise songs, so we meet Sundays for a small fellowship and we also get time for rehearsals during the week
We have an evangelist graduated in theology volunteering to help with our Sunday service, more especially teaching the bible to the children
Sonrise primary school has lost a number of students to us this year
PLEASE REMEMBER TO PRAY
1. God’s spirit of love, joy, peace and salvation to reign over all employees, and children here at excel school and TUBAKUNDE.
2. That God will keep and bless all our supporters and friends with good health and happiness, and that God will keep them strong as they keep serving HIM.
3. Pray that our ministry will gain more and more strength so that God’s blessings will reach as many people as possible both spiritually and financially
4. Pray that God will enable us to cover this year’s budget as it has grown
5. Pray that God will provide us with room for extension of premises
6. We are also currently looking for some musical instruments for our “students choir”
Thank you all for all the support you have given for all we have achieved so-
